I had the honor of portraying the lead Amilex / Shela in Gigi Guizado’s play which premiered in March 2026 at the Virtual Arts New Play Festival.
It was really challenge to play essentially three characters – Amilex – the young girl, Shela – the android clone hybrid, and Shelex – an awakened android with the memories and heart, and trauma, of a young girl.
The play is set in the 2060s, but it feels like it’s all happening right now.
